Most of you know our lovely Nurse Jo! 

Jo has been an enrolled nurse for over 35 years and has practiced most recently at Queen Street Surgery here in Levin.

Because we understand that getting into a GP can be frustrating, and sometimes completely impossible. Age Concern Horowhenua have decided to offer a nurse health check-up - so if you are concerned about your health and cannot get into the GP, you can come and speak to Jo who can complete a basic heath screen including;

• Heart Rate
• Blood Pressure
• Temperature
• Height and Weight
• Blood Sugar Levels
• Discussions about concerns you may have about your health
• Discussion about basic nutrition and wellbeing
• Discussion about falls prevention options

From a session we will be able to make referrals to other Health Professionals to follow up if needed. 

We would like to see more seniors getting regular health screening and advice in our community as a prevention and early intervention of more significant health issues.
