2025 And Goodbye Natalie

Mike Riversdale • January 6, 2025

A change at the office - goodbye Natalie and kia ora Mike

2025, January, and a time for changes ... but this time is a sad one as the team and all of the community say, "Goodbye and thank you", to Natalie as she heads off into the distance with an adventurous gleam in her eye. Luckily Natalie will be staying in the Horowhenua community, say kia ora when you bump into her in the supermarket.

Ok, so Natalie is off, who will be heading the good ship Age Concern Horowhenua, meet Mike Riversdale.

What does everyone want to know about Mike?

Best is to pop in and say hi and have a yarn :)

As some background, here's Mike in 10 almost connected points:

  1. Born in the UK, to a Welsh mum and a Cockney father
  2. Moved to Aotearoa New Zealand in 1996
  3. Lived in Miramar (Wellington) until moving to the fantastic Waitārere Beach
  4. Was a geek ... still is at heart
  5. Has run many community events and groups
  6. Is a loudmouth (in a good way) online
  7. Has two amazing kids at university
  8. Has lived on all the continents
  9. Was once insulted by Paul Henry on live TV
  10. Can't wait to meet more of the community

(one of the above 10 points is not true - which one?)

Pop in, and say hi to Mike, and if you're quick enough you can also say haere rā to Natalie.
